I had two degrees and what felt like the job of my dreams at the time. As an ambitious woman and working mom over 40, I had a flexible schedule, amazing managers, the ability to work from home if my daughter was sick, PTO whenever I actually needed it. On paper, I had it all.
The Job I Thought Was the Dream
Even with all of that, something kept nagging at me. I kept telling my manager I wanted something on the side, another income stream, because building toward retirement and nothing else never felt like enough. It felt like all we were doing was working to pay bills, not building the life we actually wanted for our family.
I didn't know a business opportunity like this even existed. Every option I found was just another way to trade more time for money, and I was already frustrated about the time I was losing with my daughter as it was. So I stayed where I was, unsure what else to do.
